Christian Education Opportunities

Sunday Mornings, 9:10 - 10:10 a.m.

Ken Staver's Class (Room 204)

Runs under the leadership of Frank Hetrick, with rotating teachers from the class providing the weekly lesson. This is a large group of individuals who have a heart for Jesus Christ and share a bond with each other. They are active in the church, in the community, and socially, as a group of Christians who enjoy each other's company. Studies focus on quarterly material and Biblical stories and truths.

Misfits for God (Room 305)

MFG is a small class where thoughtful adults, both novice and mature, enjoy warm fellowship along with vigorous open discussion about the Bible and about God.  The class uses a book study format to prompt discussion and self-reflection in order to explore ways to have a deeper relationship with God.  In this deeper relationship, we understand that we can then express God's glory the way He intended us to in our daily lives.  The class is unique in that some of the participants attend from outside our church community bringing a valued and interesting perspective and dynamic to the group.  Books the class has studied include classics such as CS Lewis' Mere Christianity and The Screwtape Letters, as well as more contemporary books such as One Minute After You Die, Now That's a Good Question and  Don't Waste Your Life.  The class has also completed in-depth looks at the Gospel of John, Hebrews, Galatians, and Ephesians.  Pam Foreman leads this class.
